11 November business gifting opportunities
Including holidays, there are several gifting opportunities in November that your business could take advantage of to connect with your employees and customers. Keep reading for 11 gifting occasions to consider.
1. Military Family Month
Military Family Month recognizes the commitment and sacrifice families of service members make. There are many ways to recognize and support these families and one way is through supporting relevant nonprofits. This month, we’ve added Operation Baby as a charitable donation option to our platform. This organization helps military couples struggling with infertility realize their dream of expanding their family. Regardless of whom you’re sending gifts to, we recommend informing them that they have an opportunity to select a charitable donation if they don’t want to receive a physical gift.
2. National Gratitude Month
Showing gratitude is a powerful action in business. Research shows that gratitude in the workplace leads to higher job satisfaction and employee retention. We also know that gratitude and good customer service help retain customers, which boosts your revenue. Use National Gratitude Month as an opportunity to showcase your appreciation of your employees and customers. Here are some tips for authentically showing gratitude:
- Write a personal note expressing your appreciation
- Determine the best environment to give recognition, i.e. 1:1 or in front of team members
- Include a gift of choice to help reinforce your gratitude
- Don’t expect anything in return
3. World Kindness Week: November 7-13, 2022
World Kindness Week originally started as a day and was started when a group of humanitarian organizations came together to create a Declaration of Kindness. This week (and World Kindness Day on November 13) is an internationally celebrated day encouraging people to make their own declarations of kindness.
Celebrate this week with an act of kindness by sending a gift that gives back. With Loop & Tie, if your recipients don’t want a physical gift from a minority-owned, woman-owned, and/or small business maker, they can elect to give a donation to a charity instead.
4. Perioperative Nurses and Nurse Practitioner Weeks: November 13-19, 2022
The second full week of November is a week to celebrate perioperative nurses and nurse practitioners. Both celebratory weeks are focused on advocating for and recognizing these healthcare professionals for the excellent care they provide to patients across the nation. If you’re managing a healthcare facility and/or a team of perioperative nurses or nurse practitioners, use this week as an opportunity to reward their hard work with a gift of their choice.
5. Extra Mile Day: November 1, 2022
Who knew there was a day to celebrate those who go the extra mile, whether at home, work, or in our communities? If you work with individuals who go above and beyond the bare minimum, this is the day to recognize them (again) for all that they do. Surprise and delight your teammates and/or customers who help make your work life easier and better with a gift of their choice!
6. International Pet Groomer Appreciation Day: November 1, 2022
As a dog owner, I highly value the skills of great pet groomers. Whether they work at a national chain or a local pet store, these individuals work on their feet all day, caring for people’s pets and their individual needs. As part of your celebrations for International Pet Groomer Day, reward your employees with a gift for their dedication to your business and customers.
7. International Accounting Day: November 10, 2022
This day is about celebrating the field of accounting and career opportunities within it. Every workplace needs an accountant – whether in-house or externally sourced – to help manage the financial operations of the business. International Accounting Day is the perfect time to work with those who spend their days managing ledgers to add a line item to your budget for celebrating them!
8. Veteran’s Day: November 11, 2022
Veteran’s Day, also known as Armistice Day, is celebrated on the anniversary of the end of World War I. On this day, we pay tribute to all veterans who have served our country. If you have veterans working for you, use this opportunity to personally reach out to them with a note of appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
9. Thanksgiving: November 24, 2022
When you think about Thanksgiving, you may be thinking of all the food you’ll enjoy, time spent with family or friends, the things you’re thankful for, and football. When you’re giving thanks for the good in your life, do you include your coworkers or clients? Before you head out for the holiday, consider sending some notes of appreciation to those you’re grateful for in the workplace, including team members, customers, and prospects.
If your recipients don’t want to redeem a physical gift, they can always gift-it-forward to an approved charity. With meals and food top-of-mind this time of year, we added No Kid Hungry to our platform, which is a nonprofit working to end childhood hunger in the United States.
10. Small Business Saturday: November 26, 2022
If you’re planning holiday gifting, there could be an opportunity to align your gift sends with Small Business Saturday. Rather than bulk buy branded coffee mugs, consider using Loop & Tie to send your team the gift of choice. The best part? We’re the first and only carbon regenerative platform that also sources products from women-owned, minority-owned, and small business makers. That means your recipients will get to select a meaningful gift that’s also making an impact, which they’ll appreciate even more!
11. Giving Tuesday: November 29, 2022
Giving Tuesday is a nationally celebrated day encouraging people to do good and give back. While this is focused on individuals giving back, whether financially or with their time, companies also have an opportunity to demonstrate their investment in giving back to causes that align with their values. Using Loop & Tie, Giving Tuesday could be a great gifting opportunity allowing your employees and/or customers to help determine what causes your company donates to in their honor. This helps connect your audiences with your company and values.
